Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Stalcraft Meta and how to use our tools effectively.
General
Stalcraft Meta is an independent community project designed to provide high-performance theorycrafting tools for the STALCRAFT universe. We offer an advanced artifact optimizer, TTK calculator, and a comprehensive item database to help players make data-driven decisions.
We sync our database directly with the game's raw files regularly, typically within 24-48 hours of a major patch. Our simulation engines (TTK and Recoil) are meticulously calibrated to match the game's actual mechanics, including damage drop-off curves and spread patterns.
No, Stalcraft Meta is not affiliated with, maintained, authorized, endorsed, or sponsored by EXBO. It is a fan-made project created by and for the community.
Yes. If you log in with your EXBO account, you can save up to 20 builds to your profile across our various tools. You can also share your builds using unique URLs or generated share codes without needing an account.
Artifact Optimizer
The optimizer uses a Memetic Algorithm—a combination of Genetic Algorithms and local search—to explore millions of possible combinations. It evaluates builds based on your selected mode (Survival or Speed) while strictly enforcing your stat requirements and container capacity.
Variety modes control how the engine selects the Top 10 results. 'Balanced' uses Jaccard distance to ensure the builds shown are significantly different from each other. 'Focused' returns the absolute mathematical peak results, even if they only differ by one minor artifact.
Artifacts like Bubblegum are highly efficient for Effective HP and Bullet Resistance, but they come with a significant movement speed penalty. If you want more mobile builds, try setting a minimum requirement for movement speed or manually disabling specific artifacts in the settings.
Standard mode uses continuous mathematical models for near-instant results, ideal for comparing automatic weapons. Tactical mode uses discrete, shot-by-shot Monte Carlo simulations which are essential for high-alpha weapons like Snipers or Shotguns.
Build Calculator
Effective HP (EHP) is the total amount of raw damage your character can take. It is calculated as **(100 + Bullet Resistance) * (Vitality / 100)**. Bullet Resistance is added directly to your base 100 HP, while Vitality acts as a final multiplier for that combined pool.
HPS is calculated by combining your periodic healing (primarily from medicine, with artifacts and armor as secondary sources) and your health regeneration. Periodic healing is boosted by **Healing Effectiveness**, while health regeneration is reduced to 20% in combat and is unaffected by effectiveness.
Artifact stats scale based on their Level (0-15) and Rarity Roll (100-175%). Beneficial stats scale linearly with rarity, while downsides like Radiation follow a 'sawtooth' scaling pattern where they jump in intensity at specific rarity tiers.
Inner Protection is a container stat that reduces the negative accumulation (Radiation, Bio, etc.) from your artifacts. Higher inner protection allows you to run more powerful artifacts with heavier downsides safely.
TTK Calculator
Our calculator runs thousands of Monte Carlo combat simulations per distance point. It accounts for weapon ballistics, hit distribution (head vs. body), armor plate absorption, and the target's healing-over-time in real-time.
A fight is marked as infinite if the target's healing and regeneration exceed your weapon's damage output at that range, or if you run out of ammunition before securing the kill. This is common at extreme distances where damage drop-off is severe.
Yes. Modules like Hunter (execution damage), Sniper (headshot bonus), and Thermos (early-mag bonus) are fully integrated into the simulation engine. You can select your module and its roll (0-154%) in the weapon configuration.
To provide stable and realistic data, we use a 95% trimmed mean. This discards the most extreme 5% of simulation outliers (extreme luck or bad luck), resulting in a TTK value that reflects consistent, real-world performance.
Recoil Visualizer
Patterns are generated using the game's actual vertical and horizontal recoil coefficients, including buildup over time and first-shot multipliers. This allows you to see the exact 'spray' shape of any weapon.
Yes. You can toggle 'Show Spread' to see the Cone of Fire. The visualizer calculates both the 'random path' (recoil) and the 'cumulative spread' to show the effective area your bullets will hit over distance.
Absolutely. Attachments like compensators and laser attachments modify the base weapon stats according to the game's files. The visualizer recalculates the pattern in real-time as you swap components, allowing for perfect min-maxing of weapon handling.
