The Build Calculator is the definitive workshop for Stalcraft players. While the Optimizer uses algorithms to find theoretical peaks, the Calculator is where you bring those builds to life, integrating them with your specific armor, weapons, and consumables to see your true combat potential.
Core Metrics: EHP and Healing
Understanding your final stats is the first step to mastering the Zone.
Effective HP (EHP)
Your EHP represents the total amount of raw bullet damage you can withstand. It is calculated using the formula:
EHP = (100 + Bullet Resistance) * (Vitality / 100).
- •Vitality: A multiplier for your total health (base 100 HP + Bullet Resistance). A Vitality of 110% means you can withstand 10% more damage before dying.
- •Bullet Resistance: Added directly to your base 100 health. For example, 100 Bullet Resistance means you have a 200-point base pool before Vitality is applied.
Combat Healing (HPS)
Healing is divided into two primary categories: Periodic Healing and Health Regeneration.
- •Periodic Healing: Provided primarily by healing items (like First-Aid Kits), with artifacts and certain armors serving as secondary sources. This is your most reliable way to stay alive under fire.
- •Health Regeneration: Your character's natural recovery. In combat, all regeneration is reduced to 20% of its base value. Crucially, Health Regeneration is not affected by Healing Effectiveness.
Healing Effectiveness
Healing Effectiveness is a critical stat often found on artifacts and medicine. It acts as a final multiplier for all Periodic Healing sources. Since it doesn't affect regeneration, its value is directly tied to how many active healing items you are using. High effectiveness can make even basic medkits extremely powerful, allowing you to out-heal sustained fire.
The Source Breakdown
Stalcraft's stat system can be opaque. To solve this, the Calculator provides a detailed Source Breakdown for every statistic. By hovering over a final value, you can see exactly how much each item—your armor, each individual artifact slot, and every active buff—is contributing to the total. This is essential for identifying 'leaks' in your build, such as an artifact providing too much radiation for your container's Inner Protection to handle.
Smart Upgrading: The Best Upgrade Tool
One of the most powerful features of the Calculator is the Best Upgrade engine. Instead of guessing which artifact to level up next, you can use this tool to simulate upgrading every artifact in your current build to its next rarity tier. The engine will highlight the specific slot that provides the highest mathematical gain for your chosen priority:
- •EHP Upgrade: Finds the biggest boost to your survival.
- •Healing Upgrade: Focuses on maximizing your sustain.
- •Speed Upgrade: Prioritizes mobility for 'kiting' or travel.
Managing Hazards and Inner Protection
Artifacts are a double-edged sword. Most powerful artifacts generate hazardous 'Infections' (Radiation, Biological, Thermal, or Psy).
- •Inner Protection: Your container reduces the accumulation of these hazards based on its Inner Protection percentage.
- •The Frost Exception: Unlike other hazards, Frost Accumulation is typically not reduced by Inner Protection, making artifacts like 'Opal' or 'Chilly' particularly dangerous to manage.
- •Sawtooth Scaling: Hazards follow a unique scaling model. While they jump in intensity at rarity thresholds (e.g., from Rare to Exclusive), they also scale within each rarity tier. This means a high-rolled 'Rare' artifact (e.g., 144%) will actually have significantly more infection than a low-rolled one of the same rarity tier.
Buffs and Consumables
No high-level engagement happens without consumables. The Buff Manager allows you to test the impact of:
- •Medicine: Items like STOMP and the Military First-Aid Kit provide massive temporary boosts to Healing Effectiveness and EHP. STOMP is considered the strongest medicine item in the game.
- •Food and Drinks: Consumables like Solyanka and Grog are essential for maintaining stamina and speed during prolonged rotations.
- •Weapon Modules: See how different module rolls affect your stats in real-time.
Sharing and Collaboration
Builds are meant to be shared. You can export your entire configuration as a Build Blueprint (a compressed URL) or a High-Resolution Image. These exports include all item levels, rarity rolls, and selected additional stats, making them the perfect tool for faction leaders to coordinate loadouts for Clan Wars.
