STALCRAFT Meta note
The KS-1 is a 5.56 assault rifle with per-shot damage and rate of fire both in the upper third of its class, plus a burst-fire mode with a faster cyclic rate. Vertical recoil is on the low side and draw time is quick, but its spread is among the wider ones and damage begins to fall off early, so it leans toward closer engagements. The stat table above shows the exact values.

STALCRAFT Meta draws the damage chart for the selected upgrade level: full damage up to the falloff start, then a straight-line drop to minimum damage at the falloff end. The TTK Calculator and DPS Table use the same falloff model.

In-game description (EXBO)
The KS-1 is a new AR-15-pattern rifle adopted by the Royal Marines and the British Rangers. While it still employs a direct impingement gas system, its reinforced internal components and self-regulating gas block ensure outstanding reliability under any conditions, while its high manufacturing quality delivers excellent accuracy. Its only real drawback is the price, making it affordable only to the Zone's elite fighters.
