An American bolt-action rifle introduced in 1936. Its impressive effectiveness and low cost made it popular among many shooters, and, as a result, it was widely distributed all over the world. The rail added by a gunsmith isn't particularly aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn't interfere with the sighting line, allowing the use of open sights.
