STALCRAFT Meta note
The AEK-965 fires 23x75 rounds and has one of the highest damage values per shot in the shotgun-and-rifle category, plus a headshot bonus, a mutant bonus and the Lethal shot property; its maximum distance matches the KS-23 as the category's longest. The costs are a low rate of fire, a small magazine loaded one round at a time and the heaviest recoil in the category. Damage starts dropping at very close range.

The AEK-965 is a Russian pump-action shotgun chambered in 23×75 mm, developed as a more ergonomic alternative to the famous KS-23. The goal of the project was to create a more comfortable, higher-capacity shotgun while preserving the devastating stopping power of the 23 mm caliber. Within the Zone, the AEK-965 is an exceptionally rare trophy. It offers excellent firepower, respectable magazine capacity, and ergonomics vastly superior to the heavy and unwieldy KS-23.
