STALCRAFT Meta note

The Saiga-12K is a magazine-fed 12-gauge shotgun with a fast rate of fire, low recoil for its class and a nine-round magazine. Its damage per shot and minimum damage are among the lowest of the shotguns, and its damage drops off earlier than most. Its rate of fire still puts damage per second in the upper half of the class.

In-game description (EXBO)

A self-loading shotgun developed at the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle. It was intended for commercial and amateur hunting of small and medium-sized animals and birds in regions with any climatic conditions. The Saiga inherited the general configuration and structure of the AK, with a gas dissipation mechanism and rotating bolt.
