An improved model of the M1911, this pistol became a true classic of automatic firearms and endured all military conflicts of the 20th century with flying colors. Both the original and the modified versions are still produced today by dozens, if not hundreds, of manufacturers. Its only notable shortcoming is the limited magazine capacity, though this is offset to some extent by its powerful rounds.
