The Barrel Container shares the largest artifact capacity among containers and adds no environmental accumulation of its own, so artifact choice is not constrained by a built-in hazard. The trade-offs are an effectiveness rating near the bottom of its category and low inner protection, so each artifact is boosted less and infection from artifacts needs managing. The stat table above shows the exact values.
