STALCRAFT Meta note

The Hive Container combines inner protection on the high side for containers with effectiveness slightly above the middle of its category, which makes infection from the artifacts inside easier to keep in check. Its capacity is above the middle of the category but below the largest containers, so it trades artifact room for a more forgiving hazard profile. It carries no extra modifiers. Exact values are in the stat table above.

The Berloga series containers, although convenient, remained quite bulky, which led to the creation of a new KZK series container. The engineers at the Research Institute 7 aimed to maintain compactness while expanding the container's capacity. The result of their work was the KZK-3 container, nicknamed "Hive" by stalkers.
